Pilot Plant
    Your project can be developed:
With IMP's fully integrated pilot plant services
      for minerals and materials processing:
      • Sample preparation
      • Bench scale testing and development
      • Pilot plant scale processing
      • Project support from planning to flowsheet development
      • On-site fieldwork
      • Supported with laboratory analysis

IMP has a 10,000 sq. ft., 2,000 pound per hour multi-level pilot plant. Mineral and Material treatment processes can be developed and tested on the bench-scale level and then verified in the pilot plant for commercial flowsheet confirmation. Engineering data can be gathered from continuous testing supported by IMP laboratory facilities with back-up from Michigan Tech expertise in mineralogy, metallurgy or chemical or mechanical engineering. Historically, IMP has been able to develop a pilot plant beneficiation process based on specific characteristics of the minerals or materials. The pilot plant circuit can be designed by selecting from our large inventory of equipment for testing and fine-tuning for a specific beneficiation process.
The IMP Pilot Plant has completed over 600 projects since 1955 in contracts with industrial firms and federal and state agencies.
