| Marvin G. McKimpson | mmckimp@mtu.edu | 487-1825 |
| Research Engineer/Scientist II: Program manager
for metallic process development. Primary development interests include
powder metallurgy processing of emerging materials, pressure-assisted
densification (including both HIP and CIP) and mechanical alloying. Current
development programs include mechanical alloying of high temperature oxide
superconductor materials, commercial processing of powder-based aluminum
composites, diffusion bonding of superalloys and consolidation of nanosized
metallic and composite powders. Prior commercial manufacturing development
experience includes work with aluminum metal matrix composites (both billet
fabrication and secondary processing), arc welding (principally GMA),
aluminum rolling, and plate bending. RESUME |
