Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
FTIR unit at the Institute of Materials Processing
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) qualitatively/quantitatively
determines molecular concentrations in experimental samples. Infrared
energy excites molecular bonds to create unique spectra for various
molecules. By comparing unknown spectra to individual standard
spectra molecules can be identified. Spectra can be stored electronically
for comparison to future samples.
