CastCon - D7 Tool Steel

Manufactured by CastCon Process

D7 Tool Steel

An optical micrograph, about 200x

CastCon is a new manufacturing approach capable of producing parts with a wide variety of sizes, shapes, materials and structural characteristics. The mechanical properties of CastCon parts can be as good as those of wrought materials.

Applications of Stellite 6 Co Alloy

Excellent wear resistance, used for making dies, molds, tools, rolls, and knives.
