Mechanical Alloying Technology
The Institute of Materials Processing at Michigan Technological
University has capabilities for mechanical alloying, mechanical
milling and solid state powder processing of a wide range of metallic
and ceramic materials in quantities ranging from about 10 g up
to 20 kg. Dry milling can be done under either air or purified
argon, and "slurry" milling can be performed in either
traditional or cryogenic liquids. Facilities include:
Extensive capabilities are also available for:
These facilities are available for use on both in-house development
programs and for toll processing work. For more extensive information
